What a great weekend!
I had taken Friday off from work and Sean already had the day off, so we went shopping for a gas grill and also spent much of the day out and about enjoying the beautiful weather. Friday night we Sean spent a while getting all of his contact/address book information coordinated from a few different sources, then we changed his iPhone configuration so that it automatically syncs his Google address book and calendars with his phone without having the sync through iTunes. I had done this several days ago for my phone and so far it work's great. Saturday started with me Facebook-ing outside in the sunshine, which was followed by breakfast at MAD. After breakfast friends went with us to purchase and transport a grill. However, they didn't have any put together and offered free assembly if we could wait until Tuesday. So we purchased the grill, but don't actually have it yet. We did several house projects, including cleaning inside the house, cleaning up leaves and sticks around the porches, cleaning up the pool house, and putting out pool-side furniture. I also spent some time reclining in the sun and I'm a little red from that. Saturday night we had a few friends over for a picnic (since we don't have the grill yet we couldn't do a cookout). That was low-key and relaxing fun and lasted until about 11:00 PM. After our guests departed we went to Rock's. A friend of ours has a birthday this week, and had asked people to come out to Rock's Saturday night. We had an absolutely great time at Rock's, getting home about 3:00 AM. Needless to say we slept in Sunday morning and were a little worse-for-wear due to Saturday's busy-ness and staying out late. Saturday evening we met friends for dinner, and then went out to a local bowling center for a we-are-forming-a-gay-friendly-bowling-league kick-off meeting. It was at the meeting that we also learned that the phrase "bowling alley" has negative connotations and so "blowing center" is preferred. Who knew? We also bowled a couple games after the meeting. We then went home, watched the latest "Dollhouse" - which had been DVR'd - then went to bed. It was a real roller-coaster of a weekend, packed with as much non-stop fun and activity as we could manage. I'm sure I'm inadvertently leaving out details. Nevertheless, it was a near-perfect weekend.
This weekend is shaping up to be similarly busy. Tonight we shop to prepare for another friend's birthday, which we'll be celebrating tomorrow (Tuesday) night. If all goes according to plan, the grill will be fully assembled and picked up Tuesday afternoon/evening and spend it's first night at our place. That reminds me that tonight we need to buy a gas tank, utensils, and possibly a cover for it while we are out and about. Wednesday and Thursday I'll be working in Saratoga Springs, Friday night is Bear-e-oke at George Bar, Saturday morning is breakfast at MAD, and after breakfast we're heading out to Connecticut to visit friends. We probably won't make it back in time, but if we're out of Connecticut early enough on Sunday there is an OBK fund raiser at the American Hotel in Sharon Springs.
The summer is already filling up with activity, and it's not even May yet. When fall returns I'll no-doubt be looking forward to some rest and relaxation, but despite the hectic-pace of Spring and Summer, it's shaping up to be another incredibly busy, yet wonderful ride.
Has anyone seen my five-hour energy drink?

Okay, even I have beads of sweat on my brow. I'll bet the back patio and yard are shaping up nicely....I can hardly wait to see them.
